I really can't think of what its gonna be. But here is some off the top of my head... Iron Man 2 (but I don't even know if that's out yet) or something to do with Eyjafjallajokull
Hell if I know though |

| You think it's to late in the game for another Obama one about the medical bill he passed? I'm thinking they will stay political seeing how all eyes are on Obama right now.. Or maybe how Cali is on the brink of falling off america? They had like 3 earthquakes in 3 days.. Idk |

i'd say they're going summer blockbuster on this one. when is it coming out? next month? it probably won't be iron man 2. maybe a full lenth satire. maybe they'll make fun of Inception. that loooks good. _________________ Mad Magazine- rotting a third generation |

I suspect we'll see an Iron Man 2 spoof. The first movie was a surprise hit and there's a lot of hype around the second one.
Still time to really zing Avatar (although I enjoyed Sergio's take on it in #503), given that the movie only hit DVD a couple of weeks ago. Imagine what Mejia could do with that one!
I have to wonder if they'll attempt tie-ins to the latest Shrek and Toy Story sequels (I'd expect the "Toyota Story" mini-poster to appear as a tie-in to Toy Story 3, which hits theatres in June). I find it odd that MAD has taken a scattershot approach to CGI flicks over the past 15 years, given their enormous box-office success.
Wouldn't be surprised to see another TV parody - as mentioned elsewhere on this forum, from where I sit, Glee, The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town are all ripe for the picking.
If Des Devlin isn't busy working on a Glee spoof (PLEASE...???) I would love to see him turned loose on a music-related piece. Apart from last year's MAD 20, the UGOI have all but ignored the Taylor Swift phenomenon, and I'm still waiting for Lady Gaga and Ke$ha to get the MAD treatment they deserve. Justin Bieber, too, for that matter.
Politically, Obama's health-care victory is still fresh in many minds (and it's a monumental moment in his presidency) so I expect MAD to dismantle it as only MAD can. I'd love to see the likes of Barry Liebmann or Jeff Kruse tackle it. |

WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT, DOUG?!?!
If that were a real MAD cover I think I'd buy another dozen copies (and I already have a subscription!)
BEAUTIFUL!!! |

Whether it'll be used or not, that has to be one of the best MAD covers I have seen in years!
And a fantastic rendition of Alfred (Neuman and Yankovic). |

I literally found it byway of Twitter. Weird Al had submitted it from his site evidently in a picture area. I didn't see it mentioned on Tom's blog. Maybe Tom can fill us in? _________________ www.madcoversite.com

| I always wanted Tom to do a cover, and that one of the Alfreds would be the right one to start with. Thanks for sharing Doug, and excellent work Tom. |

Turns out it was just a commissioned piece by a friend of Weird Al's for his 50th birthday.
But Tom has clearly proved himself worthy of doing a MAD cover.
So come on MAD, when's Tom's turn?? |

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I posted the full story about this on my blog yesterday:

I do appreciate the support, but this is still a long way from a real MAD cover worthy painting. Still hoping for a real cover one day, though.
Oh. yeah.. and as far as what you might be seeing in MAD 504? Canucklehead's prediction of Toyota Story's inclusion (and perhaps a little expansion of the concept) might be right on the money. _________________ MAD-ly,
